Sony and Bitcoin Innovate as Line Introduces Blockchain Mini-Apps to Millions

Line, Japan's leading social media platform, has teamed up with Sony's Soneium blockchain to deploy blockchain-based mini-apps for its vast user base of 200 million. This initiative is designed to enhance user engagement and provide seamless access to decentralized applications. Soneium's platform has rapidly expanded, boasting nearly 4 million wallet addresses and 2 million daily active users. The collaboration will see the integration of popular mini-apps such as "Sleepagotchi LITE" and "Farm Frens" to facilitate new forms of blockchain interactions. Jun Watanabe, Chairman of Sony Block Solutions Labs, underscored the importance of this partnership in promoting the adoption and use of blockchain technologies. The strategic partnership aims to drive innovation and simplify the introduction of Web3 technologies for Line users.
