Police Probe Grim Bitcoin Extortion in Texas Home Invasion
In a startling criminal turn of events, Kaitlyn Siragusa, known as Amouranth, was targeted by three armed intruders at her home in Texas, demanding her Bitcoin holdings at gunpoint. The event unfolded late Sunday evening when the assailants shattered a window and forcibly gained entry into her bedroom. Under the menace of pistols, they insisted she log into her cryptocurrency account, though they failed to acquire the funds. The attack escalated as the intruders pistol-whipped Siragusa and then confronted her husband, who managed to fire a shot, likely hitting one of the attackers. Despite her traumatic ordeal, Siragusa survived with injuries, and her husband was unharmed. The Houston Police responded swiftly but the suspects remain unidentified, leaving the community shocked and the case under intense investigation. This incident is a grim reminder of the rising trend of violent crimes linked to digital assets.
