Bitcoin and Telegram Join Forces: Ethena Labs Launches USDe Stablecoin on TON Network
Ethena Labs is set to integrate its USDe stablecoin with The Open Network (TON) blockchain, providing dollar-denominated savings for Telegram's vast user base.
Launching in May 2025, this initiative will allow Telegram's 1 billion users to access the stablecoin through self-custodial wallets.
The collaboration with TON Foundation enables USDe to be used within popular TON-compatible wallets, including Telegram’s native wallet.
Users can purchase and stake USDe, earning yields comparable to established options such as toncoin and Tether's USDT.
To incentivize participation, holders of up to 10,000 tsUSDe in qualifying wallets will enjoy an additional 10% yield through the end of 2025.
This integration marks a significant expansion of TON's decentralized finance capabilities, aiming to diversify its stablecoin ecosystem.
Additionally, Ethereum's Layerzero cross-chain messaging will connect USDe to TON, allowing current holders to bridge tokens easily.
In a landscape where stablecoins are gaining traction, this move aims to position the TON network as a leader in consumer-friendly crypto savings tools.
Ethena Labs is also exploring further reward initiatives to enhance community engagement and stimulate DeFi growth within the TON platform.
As this integration unfolds, it represents an important shift towards mainstream adoption of cryptocurrencies among Telegram's wide-reaching global audience.
